Recommended by andreabarton: By far, best Indian cuisine in Austin. If it's your first visit and you want to play it safe, start with the house favorite Khuroos-e-Tursh, you will not be disappointed. (February 26th 2007)
Recommended by gandalf04: Great food, ambience and style....We go there all the time. (October 12th 2004)
Comment by tushar: I love the restaurant even more now that I won the $20 gift certificate from RateAustin.com..... (February 27th 2007)
Recommended by anonymous: The food is fantastic, and the best Indian I've found in Austin so far. Staff is normally quick and attentive, and you really cannot beat the ambience. They even have an upper room they rent out for parties or other occasions, which I'll have to do the next time a birthday rolls around. Oh, and for those that enjoy their food *spicy*, ask for your dish to be "Desi" hot. It somewhat depends on what cook is making the dishes but desihot makes it *insanely* spicy without killing the dish and is a nice touch. Recommendations: App: Basil Naan with a bowl of mussels. Main: Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer (Both are very good basic "staple" Indian dishes) Also, go rate your experience on Clay Pit's website and you can get 10% off (or it used to do that, haven't been to the site in a while) (March 27th 2006)
Recommended by dan: Some of my favorites include Chicken Tikkedar and Lamb Tikka Masala. (May 9th 2008)

Recommended by anonymous: I have to agree with Gandalf04... we love the clay pit, especially the Khuroos-e-Tursh. (December 13th 2004)
