However, I, too, have had some difficulty with one staff member who seemed unduly challenging and aggressive. Weird, because everybody else is so nice there. Recommended by anonymous: They have a great selection of glasses, and as long as you're coming in to spend money they're very nice. However, if you have a problem, some of the people working the lobby turn nasty really quickly. I had a problem where the contacts they prescribed me did not adjust my vision correctly. I went back and the front desk people were huffy (this is a common problem with contacts), but the doctor fixed the problem quickly. However, somehow the prescription didn't get updated so when I went back in to get glasses made a couple of months later, the lenses were way too strong. Their response: you're just used to wearing contacts. So for 3 days I wore nothing but the glasses - 3 horrible days of funhouse-vision induced nausea. When I took them back in and explained that I hadn't gotten used to them, they argued with me that they coulnd't be wrong and when I finally convinced them to check the lenses, one lady took them into another office and came back about 2 minutes later and told me the prescription was correct and I "would just have to get used to them". I would suggest spending your money elsewhere - there are plenty of places in town that don't treat you like you're trying to cheat them if something goes wrong. (September 30th 2004)
