Recommended by austinjen: I, too, really like Eclectic Eyewear, as well as both the doctors there. However, I, too, have had some difficulty with one staff member who seemed unduly challenging and aggressive. Weird, because everybody else is so nice there. Nonetheless, I wouldn't let one bad apple deter you from going there. (August 30th 2005)
Recommended by anonymous: My experience with Ecletic eyewear have all been positive to date. As far as the staff goes.....maybe you just picked a bad day...we all have them. I am going back tomorrow for my third pair. (April 10th 2006)
Recommended by anonymous: This place is great! There are lots of wonderful frames to choose from and the doctors are really nice. One staff member knows everyone's name, even if you've only been there once. One staff member does get irritated very easily, though. (January 7th 2006)
Recommended by anonymous: I get both glasses and contact lenses from Eclectic Eyewear. The staff has ALWAYS been very helpful (especially Diana) and Dr. Irwin is the best. I don't have an easy prescription to diagnose and he always takes the time to get it right. (February 8th 2005)
Recommended by anonymous: We drive from Corpus to have Diana help pick out our eyewear.Dr. Irwin is the best and all of the staff is fun and helpful. It's well worth your time to go here! (February 7th 2005)
Recommended by anonymous: Never had a problem. I bought two frames and they had them for me really quickly. They understood my problems and fixed my glasses when they broke. (December 29th 2004)
Recommended by anonymous: They have a great selection of glasses, and as long as you're coming in to spend money they're very nice. However, if you have a problem, some of the people working the lobby turn nasty really quickly. I had a problem where the contacts they prescribed me did not adjust my vision correctly. I went back and the front desk people were huffy (this is a common problem with contacts), but the doctor fixed the problem quickly. However, somehow the prescription didn't get updated so when I went back in to get glasses made a couple of months later, the lenses were way too strong. Their response: you're just used to wearing contacts. So for 3 days I wore nothing but the glasses - 3 horrible days of funhouse-vision induced nausea. When I took them back in and explained that I hadn't gotten used to them, they argued with me that they coulnd't be wrong and when I finally convinced them to check the lenses, one lady took them into another office and came back about 2 minutes later and told me the prescription was correct and I "would just have to get used to them". I would suggest spending your money elsewhere - there are plenty of places in town that don't treat you like you're trying to cheat them if something goes wrong. (September 30th 2004)
Recommended by anonymous: Nice people, great selection. Intended to get just one pair but had to get two as I couldn't pick just one! (August 20th 2004)
Recommended by anonymous: Best selection of eyewear in town, and great service (June 7th 2004)
