beksabbath: Best catfish I ever had: juicy, crunchy, the best spicy/swampy flavor. Food tends to be too salty but in general it's all good, and reasonably priced.
Atmosphere is a challenge: one small room with one window and lots of decorative clutter, kind of like eating at grandma's house. And if you don't like Jesus music, that might be a problem for you here.
It would be great if the shabby building could get fixed up because more curb appeal would surely bring people inside to try this great little restaurant. But apparently Queen Lola is more concerned with feeding the homeless than increasing her business. ;)
The owner is a super nice person and she really knows how to cook, so don't waste your time at that "upscale" um, "Cajun" restaurant Mrs. B's on 11th St. near the highway.
