After taking my car to another repair facility I was quoted over $1500.00 for a noise in my front end. I was also told that my car would not pass inspection without these repair ( funny my inspection just expired) I was told the problem was dangerous and needed to be done immediatly. I took the car and the estimate to Rays garage for a 2nd opinion. After a couple of hours extensively looking at my car they told me I could come pick up my car up and that the problem was fixed at $37.50. The problem turned out to be a loose bushing in the front end. I have been a loyal customer ever since. It is worth the drive from Leander. (26 Jun 07)
I first went to Ray's Garage after my old Mechanic retired, he recommended Ray's and the next time I had a repair that is where I went. That was about 8 years ago, and I have not gone anywhere else. Peggy has always been helpful, explained costs, options, and always gone with my decision. The work is always done correctly, the first time, and I don't trust anyone else to touch my vehicles. Finally, Peggy has even gone as far as to suggest that the benefit of a repair might not be worth the cost, that is, it might be time to look for another vehicle, especially as at the time that was our only vehicle. They really value their customers, rather than trying to make a quick buck off of them. (15 Aug 06)
I was recommended to Ray's Garage through a friend after two very bad experiences at two different shops, and as it turns out, almost everyone I have talked to has recommended Ray's as the only place to take your car. My vehicle was repaired at a reasonable price, and it was really repaired. The shop is owned by a woman, and she knows her business. The mechanics are great and take the time to explain the repairs and why they were necessary. I'll never go anywhere else. This shop, Peggy, and her crew are awesome; really awesome. (04 Aug 06)
