I have colleagues that rave about Sullivan, and I have gone there several times thinking that the last time was a fluke, but have come to the conclusion that basically, their steaks just are inferior. The setting is great, the service is great, the sides are decent, but the steaks? I can't think of a steak I would NOT prefer to the ones I have gotten at Sullivans. Give me Ruth Chris (Prime instead of Choice) seasoned well, or Austin Land and Cattle (again Prime instead of Choice) and seasoned perfectly any day. Hell, give me Hofbrau, (FIt for Human Consumption grade versus Sullivans Choice) because it just tastes better. (September 23rd 2007)
