UCHI has the best, consistently fresh, high quality sushi in austin. Each entree and appetizer is prepared with delightful imagination, creativity and beauty. The final result at your table is a feast for your eyes and delight and joy for your palate. Top this off with great decor, music that matches Austin and one of the best wait staff and hosting crews I have been served by in Austin. Does Uchi cost more than other Austin Sushi haunts? My recent dinner in Uchi revealed Uchi's innovative use of the freshest ingredients. Yeah, it's pricey but u get what u pay 4 in both food and service. The atmosphere borders on pretentious but thats b/c of the jetset clientele. The service was the most cheerful and attentive i've ever had the pleasure 2 experience and the diverse menu entertained my palate w/ it's extreme range of flavors from light to rich and from sweet to bitter. I ended up spending more than i intended out of curiosity of unlikely flavor combinations like chocolate and wasabi. And it was delicious! I am so telling my friends about this place (May 6th 2005)
